Biotech Research: Food Pigments & Aromatics

Food Pigments and Aromatics

In this innovative project, we are researching the development of multiple food additives that aim to closely mimic the color, aroma, and taste of meat in plant-based meat substitutes. These additives are 100% organic and are obtained through algal and cyanobacterial fermentation. By harnessing the natural properties of these micro-organisms, we strive to create sustainable and flavourful alternatives for meat lovers while promoting environmental consciousness

Biotech Research: Natural Sunscreen

Natural Sunscreen

KorallionBio is conducting research to develop a novel sunscreen agent using metabolites derived from micro algae and cyanobacteria. These natural compounds have the potential to serve as safer alternatives to current synthetic UV filters, while also addressing concerns related to adverse effects and environmental impact. By harnessing the UV-screening properties of these micro-organisms, we aim to create effective and sustainable sun protection products for cosmetic use
